In 1968, Michael (Robert De Niro), Nick (Christopher Walken) and Steven (John Savage), lifelong friends from a working-class Pennsylvania steel town, prepare to ship out overseas following Steven's elaborate wedding and one final group hunting trip. One of the films of my long lifetime. Mesmerising, atmospheric , scary, beautifully filmed and wonderfully acted. I will never get Christopher Walken's face out of my head from the Russian roulette scenes. Heartbreaking. A must watch.

The Deer Hunter is a movie about how war doesn't end when the shooting stops. Sometimes it just changes uniforms and moves into your memories. A group of friends goes looking for adventure and comes home carrying ghosts. The terrifying part isn't the battlefield. It's the quiet moments afterward, when ordinary life feels like a costume that no longer fits. The film understands something brutal and beautiful: people don't just lose friends in war. They lose versions of themselves. The person who leaves and the person who returns may share the same name, but they don't always share the same soul. A devastating, unforgettable reminder that survival is not the same thing as coming home.

A powerful human drama of Vietnam War and friendship and really phenomenal strong performances from Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken and Meryl Streep and really fantastic cinematography it really felt your in Vietnam area and violence are really shocking, horrifying and really intense.
