Miami Vice is beautifully shot but the lead characters lack the charisma of their TV series counterparts, and the underdeveloped story is well below the standards of Michael Mann's better films.

If you like action, a good twisted story, fantastic actors apparently really enjoying themselves: Run For It ! Michael Mann in greet shape makes it worth the next 2 hours. Forget the 80’s TV show, this is the real deal ! Wonderful scenery, great music, realistic approaches and fight / combat scenes. You can’t regret watching this, it works even if you’re a fan of the old series…. What are you waiting for ?

This one made me finally sign up to leave a review. Watched it because I’m checking out Jamie Foxx Roles I haven’t seen. He couldn’t save this film. Too generic and predictable. Copy and Paste from similar films. For being undercover they could not act more like cops. The music from the very start ruined the entire tone of the movie for me. I’m supposed to believe they are in a Miami club listening to linkin park and Jay-Z collab?…. many actors did well I actually thought Naomie Harris stood out the most. It wasn’t bad because of the actors, they just couldn’t void the downsides.

Colin Farrell holds this film together . There are a few very badly done moments and the plot gets a little sloppy . But over all it’s a good watch

The series was definitely one of my all time favorites. This version just seems miscasted, lacking a decent storyline, and not even close to being modernized with its production. Mostly boring. You would think with the money budgeted for movies, they could WOW you with an iconic version of the show.
