bruce F @bruce999 Aug 4 suspenseful western, with a fine story. well done. and there is a love interest. i wanted them to fall into each others arms, and ride off into the sunset. anyway...the movie is still very good See more Thomas V @TomVee Jul 24 There's a lot of good stuff here: beautiful cinemascope cinematography that really brings the New Mexico landscape to life; another fine Jimmy Stewart performance; and fast-paced action. However, for me it feel a little bit short compared to some of the Mann-Stewart duo's prior efforts. It just seemed to not quite have as much depth and the characters were not as well drawn. There was also a comically hammy performance by Alex Nichol as the infantile, entitled heir to the Big ranch. In a worse movie, that would have helped make it so bad it's good, but here it was just out of place, spoiling an otherwise solid cast. Still entertaining, but a bit less so than, say, The Naked Spur or Winchester 73. See more John F @RT97797200 Jul 14 I watched this dreadful wreck last night. Weak plot, weak direction, too many "coincidences". When I look at the critics reviews, I say this is in no way 100%. Kinda reminds me of the Melania ratings which really stank.
