Alex B @AlexBioni Jul 14 Foster at 30,000 Feet Flightplan is a surprisingly fun thriller. The dialogue is pretty average, but Jodie Foster elevates every scene. Without her, I think this movie falls apart. For a film that mostly takes place in one location, the camera work keeps everything visually interesting. I also liked the lighting and color palette, which gave the movie a cold, uneasy atmosphere. About 20 minutes in I thought I had the ending figured out. Five minutes later my prediction came true... except there was still an hour left. From that point on, the movie kept me guessing. It is not the most realistic story, and a few characters became frustrating. By the end, I was still confused about the motives, which took some of the impact away from the ending. The final confrontation also feels rushed and ends a little too abruptly. Still, the pacing is strong, and Jodie Foster carries the movie from beginning to end.
