The marvellous atmosphere drips with a lingering Gothic ghoulishness, the sexuality is remarkably upfront for its time, and the climax set in the shadow of a moonlit windmill is the stuff of fairy-tale nightmare. Read less

Good follow up to the superb Horror of Dracula. No Christopher Lee this time, but has some great characters, including the Baroness. The main vampire was not 100% but did a good enough job. Lighting, set design and all of that Hammer have covered superbly. Enjoyed Cushing again as Van Helsing.- great performance. Solid Hammer follow up. The next one was awesome though
