What should have been a creative, gritty story instead feels flat and underdeveloped, as if the potential was there but the execution couldn’t keep up. The two brothers at the center do a respectable job and carry what little momentum the movie has, showing that the casting there wasn’t the problem. Unfortunately, the rest of the ensemble drags everything down, delivering uneven performances that sap tension and make the world feel thin. The screenplay is where it truly falters, struggling to build a coherent arc or give the story moments that actually matter. Scenes drift by without impact, and the tone never settles into anything gripping. With stronger writing and better resources, this could have been something engaging, but as it stands it feels like a missed opportunity. Anyone who has tried to make a feature knows how hard it is to carry a film all the way to the end, especially when life is working against you. The fact that this film exists matters. The production value is steady and often strong, and the story came together for me in a way that felt earned. The final scene, in particular, really moved me and stayed with me after the film ended. First features are never perfect, and they are not supposed to be. What stood out most here was the resolve behind it. This feels like a film that was made because it had to be made. That kind of persistence is rare, and it shows on screen in quiet, honest ways. Most people who talk about making movies never finish anything at all. This did. That is not small.
