The Met's abridged, English-language version of Massenet's enchanting fairy-tale opera returns to theaters! Previously recorded live, this performance stars mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard as the rags-to-riches title character alongside mezzo-soprano Emily D'Angelo as the lovestruck Prince Charming, with Emmanuel Villaume on the podium.

Stella E D 2d This is terrible! Low budget Covid dribble. No audience. No scenery. Ridiculous costumes. Mediocre singers. Orchestra are wearing masks. English does not cut it opera. A total waste of my time. See more Ronni M 3d Entertaining, light, farcical, imaginative costumes and only 90 minutes...Appreciated tickets costing less in line with length of opera. The cast seemed to be made up of less than 1st star singers in leading roles, save for the wicked step mother.. Would have been nice to have Prince with a tenor range. See more Kyunghee C. C 5d Not my favorite opera. HD was very good though! The previews were So Loud, we had to plug our ears. Please lower the volume. We are not deaf! HD opera sound was good though. Thanks! See more Peter Feb 15 Wonderful modern music, great caring, a classical story, outstanding chorus. See more Carole Feb 14 Throughly enjoyed this presentation. Highly recommend.
