Loved that the mom and old girlfriend are real looking and relatable. The kids and minor parts, though - those need help. Maybe it’s the dialogue given to kids, written by an adult who doesn’t have an ear for the way kids really talk. But what really brings the show down is the sound quality. Half the time you can’t hear Nick, or Charlie, and the music overpowers the dialogue. Bad sound mixing there. The extras are obviously not actors, so that’s a little bumpy. And some of the minor older characters seem like those in commercials for "elderly" products- they can’t act in those and can’t in this show either. I loved the feel of this show, I just wish some B team things could be worked out. It was good once, but won’t be a Christmas regular.
