Starring martial arts icon Scott Adkins as British SAS officer James Wright, Prisoner of War tells the story of a soldier captured by the Japanese and held in a Philippine POW camp. Before the entire colony embarks upon the Bataan Death March, Wright and his fellow prisoners are forced to compete in brutal death matches for the entertainment of their captors. What a load of moronic rubbish. RAF Spitfires in the Philippines at the start of the war. 🤔😂 Spitfire is shot down ( single seater ) yet mysteriously 2 crewmen are shown swimming from the sea and as for these rifles the Japanese were carrying 🤔😂 I did watch to the end just to see if it got better. It didn't, it got worse.The Japanese officer finds the prisoner has on his person a Victoria cross. Who wrote this script. A total waste of my time. Anyway,enough I'm off to do something interesting like watching paint dry

Prisoner of War got a 67% rating from RT. That's enough for me to watch. Every scene in this movie was either moronic fantasy or Kung Foolish. The plot involves calling in a tow plane to pick up a glider crashed in the jungle. All arranged with a walkie talkie-like radio from a Japanese prison camp. The Japanese are stereotypical murderous idiots who keep getting pummeled by Scott Adkins, (who should be ashamed of this rubbish). The ending was embarrassingly inane.
