Jonathan K @aFIREintheattic 3d Easily the most memorable part of this short animated film is the style. The art is done with oil paint on glass, which allows it to move and shift in a way that’s striking and very different. It’s genuinely unique. The other thing is the story of course, which is pretty affecting. The animation style though doesn't enable a lot of emotional weight in terms of attachment to the characters. They’re somewhat abstract, without detailed facial features to anchor you. But with the music, the pacing, and the use of color, it still manages even if it doesn't transcend.
