For some unknown reason, the men on Mars are dying. Worried that the Martian population will soon die out, the planet's leaders decide to send Nyah (Patricia Laffan) to Earth to bring back a fresh supply of healthy, virile men. After Nyah's ship crash-lands in Scotland, she seeks help at a village inn. She tries to convince the men, including a disbelieving scientist (Joseph Tomelty) and an ex-convict (Peter Reynolds), to come with her, but doesn't understand their wives' objections.

John L. @JohnnyMoe 1d It's not a perfect movie, but with that out of the way it sure can be a fun watch. It's got some mildly annoying tropes: patchwork romances, a little kid fascinated with the "aeroplane," and whatnot, an obligatory bad fistfight between two men. But while these might be expected what is unexpected is Patricia Laffan's completely entertaining performance as Nyah, and the way the editor and director frame her. There's no way to truly take this plot seriously, which they must have at least somewhat been trying to do back then. But all that serious treatment does is play as the "straightman" in the joke. Nyah has this unexplainable need to impress these "puny humans," along with copius amount of naivete! That she keeps going back to the trapped ensemble to impress and terrorize them, even after several failed attempts of theirs to dupe her, is great fun to ponder. It's a fun little jem of a film; with a very odd and humorous framing of the "the War of the Sexes." See more Jeffrey B. @JohnnyTwoStep123 Jan 14 This was hilariously bad. The dialogue was vapid and inane, characters so assured about insights based on zero facts. The dramatic musings of love and existence are shallow and sophomoric. And at the end nothing's been resolved as the characters act like since the one spacecraft is gone others would not arrive at a later date. So many plot holes and daft dialogue it was unbearable. This must have been made either for slow people or school children See more Mike W @Mirky Nov 30 In the vein of The Day The Earth Stood Still" except we humans are portrayed in a better light. See more Anthony B @Horror69 Oct 1 I was born in the 1940's and this 1954 movie was a must watch for me. OK...Very campy...Very bizarre...BUT very enjoyable. Highly recommended as a must watch for retro nerds like me. See more deke p @RT96675217 01/15/2022 1954!! Surprisingly interesting, maybe more so if a little high. Not 'spoofy', but minimal 'campy' in parts. Took itself a little serious, & good atmosphere/music. I recommend it, cuz u jus gotta see it. Wild lookn 1954 'flying saucer', never seen anythig like it. The Mars girl dressed in black leather & cape, mean &threatening. A ridiculous big ROBOT, like Robbie the Robot on Lost in Space. Yes, seems like a ridiculous campy title. Never hrd of nor saw before on The Movie Channel, 1 .13. 2022 See more george l @RT47615177 01/15/2022 Surprisingly enjoyable. Watched the entire movie & got caught up in the plot.
